Nickelodeon Airs Powerful Video to Support Black Lives Matter

Yesterday was #BlackoutTuesday and Nickelodeon did their part in the best way.

They showed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement by going off air at 6pm and aired a very powerful video instead.

The video was 8 minutes and 46 seconds long – which is how long George Floyd was pinned to the ground with Officer Derek Chauvin’s knee on his neck.

In the video, you see the words “I can’t breathe” on screen, along with sounds of breathing.

It will give you chills. Nickelodeon was such an influential part of my childhood, it make me so happy seeing them educate younger generations as well.

Well done, Nickelodeon. Well done.
