Billie Eilish just released a very important short film on social media.
As if I couldn’t love this girl any more, she just somehow managed to impress me even more.
She made this video called Not My Responsibility and it actually first premiered in Miami earlier this year during her first night of her Where Do We Go? tour, before the tour got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The whole point of the video has a message against body shaming and in the video, you can see her taking off her bra and sinking into water.
She says, “The body I was born with – is it not what you wanted? You have opinions about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body. Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it, some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me – but I feel you watching.”
You gotta watch the full thing, it will give you chills. And honestly, as a female with strong insecurities about my body, this totally gave me the feels.
