Wow, with so much going on in the world, I totally forgot about the Fyre Festival days!
Remember that sketchiness from 2017?? If you haven’t, that’s what you’re watching on Netflix tonight – thank me later.
Well, Kendall Jenner got involved in it back then, and now she has to pay up for promoting it.
Last year, Gregory Messer, who was the event’s trustee, named Kendall in the lawsuit by trying to recover money for creditors that lost money investing for the festival.
Kendall promoted the festival on Instagram and made $275,000 from that, and she didn’t disclose that she was being payed and she also mentioned that in the post, she wrote her “G.O.O.D Music Family” (which is Kanye West’s label), would perform at the festival.
In the Netflix documentary, she was supposedly supposed to host a yacht party, and they used her name illegally.
Last April, Kendall talked to the New York Times about the situation and said, “I definitely do as much research as I can, but sometimes there isn’t much research you can do because it’s a starting brand and you kind of have to have faith in it and hope it will work out the way people say it will. You never really know what’s going to happen.”
What a mess!
