The Distillery District is one of the most iconic (& my absolute fave place in the city).
In November & December, the Christmas Market was in full effect. It felt like a cute little Christmas village!
Fast forward to January 2020, and now they have a Toronto Lights Festival!
As soon as you get there, you can see the light displays take over. It’s completely free, and the trees are all uniquely decorated, there’s a small indoor light display that’s filled with giant inflatable mushrooms (which by the way is the only indoor part of the light festival), outside there’s a field of fireflies, when you wander around you’ll also notice 9 giant astronauts sculptures, and the best part – cloud swings! You can swing on them while the clouds change colour as you swing. When no one is using them, they stay white!
Overall, if you want to embrace the cold, enjoy art displays, and want to do it for the gram, this is worth the trip! 8/10 recommend.
